With CIAA weekend is less than four weeks away, you may be starting to realize a few things.

1. You don’t have as much time as you think to get ready for it.
2. If you’ve been before, this year will be the most packed it has EVER been.
3. If you’ve never been before, you have no idea what you are in for.

We have received a lot of questions in our inbox from people just like you, and we have compiled our list of the top 10 most frequently asked questions for the 2011 CIAA.

Check it below.

10. Is it too late for me to get a hotel room?
It’s not too late, but you probably will need to get lucky, or gamble and wait till the week of the event if you wanna stay downtown. Most of the popular spots are completely booked(or overbooked in some cases), and will start releasing rooms to those event planners who didn’t move all their inventory. You also want to keep it locked to CIAAParty.com, our Twitter and Facebook Fan Page for info as we get it on hotel deals.

9. Do I need to stay downtown to have a good time?

No. It just makes it a lot easier to be pissy drunk during the daytime when you dont have to worry about parking. Parking near the epicentre during CIAA weekend is a bitch as it is, but when you got PD driving around, tow trucks trying to come up on tourists like you, and 10 mile drives taking 45 minutes during peak hours, it’s worth the extra money to get a room in the middle of the action.

8. How do I know what party to go too?
Truth is, you really can’t go wrong no matter what day party or night event you hit up that weekend. Starting late Thursday afternoon, Charlotte will be buzzing like never before, and the party doesn’t stop until Sunday afternoon. We will drop our picks for each day and night in an article in a couple weeks though.

Read the rest of the list after the jump.

7. Should I buy tickets in advance if I know I’m going to the event?
Yes. Many of the most popular day parties sell out, and even if you have a general admission ticket, you better get there early. Last year friends of mine didn’t get in Whiskey River trying to show up late, tickets and all.

6. How much money do I need to bring with me that weekend?

That is really up to you. What you shouldn’t do is get in debt to go to CIAA though. I know some of you have been saving for a couple months for the weekend, while others are ballin outta control off that rapid refund Jackson Hewitt just gave you. Either way, don’t run your credit card, take out a payday loan, or skip paying your car payment to have some bar money at The Westin. Not cute at all.

5. What if my friends want to do things different that I do?
The good part about CIAA is there really is something for everybody. If you want to get your party on with hundreds of people, theres events for that. Feel like chillin and networking with some of the sexiest people in the south? Got that too. Want to get your go-go or Old School on? That is there too.

4. What else is their to do besides party CIAA weekend?
Well, for those not familiar with the tradition of the CIAA, the official website of the event will give you all the info you need about the games and festivities.

3. What’s the dress code for many of the events?
This really varies on the promoter and depends on the venue. Fellas, you should expect to step your gear up for most of the night events, while the day parties are definitely more casual.

2. My girl/man wants me to go with them…
We aren’t saying you should tell them no, but, CIAA isn’t really the best event for couples.

1. What’s the weather usually like in Charlotte?

The one thing about the South is from one day to the next, the weather can change 30 degrees. You really want to check Weather.com before you pack up a week or so prior, but the normal high that time of the year is 60 degrees during the day, with the normal low dropping to 39 when you are leaving the club.
