I know it seems like it’s months away, but as of the original date of this post, we are only a few months away from the biggest party weekend of the year in the Queen City. Most of the major hotels in Uptown and near the airport will require a minimum of a 3 night stay, so plan on traveling Thursday, February 27 through Sunday, March 2. With over $47 million dollars spent last year during the tournament week, it remains the largest annual tourism event in Charlotte.

This is the latest update of hotels available as of November 5:

The A List currently has rooms at the desirable Westin Hotel in Uptown Charlotte. You can review all their options here, but a double room there will cost $1500, due by New Years Day.

Premier Event Solutions is offering rooms at a number of hotels, including the Marriott City Center, Crowne Plaza, and Hyatt Place. Check out their link for the details, but a $250 deposit will secure a room, with a four night stay ranging in total from $688 – 1276.

For those that don’t mind staying at the airport away from Uptown, there are rooms available currently via search engines such as Hotels.com for as low as $50.00/night (Days Inn). You may have to prepay the entire trip in full when booking, and there are limited rooms at those low prices.

If you opt to go through another search engine, such as Expedia.com, hotels uptown like the Hyatt House Center City ($449/night) will require full payment at booking. As the weeks go on, we will continue to update this page with more hotel updates for CIAA 2014 weekend.

Don’t forget, The Blake Hotel as we knew it is no more. By the new year, both towers will be reopened under the Starwood Resorts & Hotels chain(Sheraton). They are spending nearly 20 million dollars to bring the property back to life. No word on what the hotel prices will be for tournament week.
