2017 CIAA Weekend Hotel Rooms Availability – Updated January 15
With just six weeks to go until the 2017 CIAA Tournament tips off in Charlotte, hotel rooms have begun to become scarce in the most desirable locations. The official tournament’s fan portal has been available since late last summer, offering affordable room options in Uptown. As of this morning, this is what we found there for a 3 night stay, checking in Thursday, February 23rd.
Holiday Inn Charlotte City Center (230 N. College)
Double beds are sold out, however you can secure a King bed there for $242.00/night if you move fast. A king reservation will only be for a max of two (2) guests, and if you have stayed in Charlotte during tournament week before, you know hotels do not play around with the max number of actual guests assigned to a room. You can upgrade to a Suite (sleeps 4 guests) for $359.00/night.

The above six hotels are consistently the most popular among our audience for Tournament Week. If you book through the official CIAA Tournament Fan Portal, remember a few things that are new for 2017:
– A Non-Refundable Deposit is charged at the time you book. If for any reason you cancel your trip, you won’t get your money back. When booking, they make sure you see that fine print clear.
– Your reservation is non-transferrable. You cannot secure a room, and later transfer it in your friend’s name. If you book the room, it will remain in your name the entire trip.
– Three night stay is required for all hotels. That is to be expected, but if you were coming into town Friday, you might want to consider grabbing the hotel for the night you aren’t there. The odds of finding a two night stay hotel in Uptown at the total price you are gonna pay for three is slim, and will get even tougher once we get into February.
